UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT STATEMENT EXAGGERATED [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, April 6 A statement that the story of the kitten being thrown into the boxing ring during the New Zealand University tournament at Christchuivh, had been greatly exaggerated, was made by Mr I). AT. Burns, tournament delegate of Victoria University College. “The kitten was not thrown from high in the gallery, as reported,” he said, 4< but from a ringside seat, and the statement that there was a sickening thud is nothing more than pure im ag i na t io n.”
