The King has approved the appointments of Sir Josiah Crossby, British Minister at Panama, to be envoy at Bangkok in succession to Mr. L. F. Former. Sir Josiah Crosby began his diplomatic career in Siam, and previously served at Bangkok as Vice-Counsul in 1911, and acting Consul-General 191920. LORD TYRRELL FAREWELLED. Lord Tyrrell, retiring British Ambassador, was given a farewell reception the British colony presenting Lord the British colonoy presenting Lord Tyrrell with a morocco-bound book bearing his cont of arms and containing the names of subscribers to a number of farewell gifts.
