WANGANUI CENTRE OPEN PAIRS TOURNAMENT ENTRIES FROM WIDE AREA. Thirty-eight pairs have entered for the Wanganui Centre’s open pairs tournament, commencing next Tuesday at 9 a.m. The draw for sections is given below. Sections A, B, and C will play on the Wanganui Club’s greens, and D, E, and F on the St. John’s Club’s greens. Three games of eighteen heads will be played, after which section ties (if any) will be played off. In the event of only two tying games of seven heads will bo played, and if more than two five heads will be played. Post-section play will be on the sudden death principle. The onus is on the skips to see that all bowls bear the 1925 or subsequent testing stamp. The luncheon adjournment is 45 minutes. Section A. Webb and Byers (Raetihi).
