lhe first monthly meeting of 1934 was held on Alonday ia bt. Paul’s committee room. Airs. Christie presided over the following members; — Mesdames J. 11. Burnet, T. C. Talyor, T. B. Williams, Peck, Siddells and Aliss Kennedy. Alesdames Bell and Silk sent apologies for absence. The district nurses reported as follows for the month of December, 1933, and month of January, 1934: December; No. of visits paid, 255; new cases, 14; discharged, 8; deaths, January: No. of visits paid, 283; new cases, 16; discharged, 4; deaths, 4; sent to hospital, 1. The committee acknowledges with many thanks the gifts sent in by the following: Alisscs Pauline Christie., Ann Fell and Alison Smith, three beau-tifully-made nightdresses; Airs. AlacPherson, Turakina Valley, air cushion. Visitors appointed for the month of February were Airs. Siddells and Miss Kennedy. Letters of appreciation were received from several patients thanking the committee for its Christmas gift.
