ANOTHER BAYONNE ARREST JEWELS MADE OF PASTE (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright* PARIS, Jan. 24. A Bayonne message states that Henri Cohen, the expert valuer of jewellery at tho municipal pawnbrokcry, with which Stavisky was concerned, has been arrested after a discovery that the jewels he examined were almost worthless. STAVISKY CASE LAWYERS FIGHT DUEL. BOTH BAD MARKSMEN. PARIS, Jan. 25. The first of many threatened duels arising out of the Stavisky case was fought this morning. A barrister named Bainex wrote an article in Midi on barristers and the Stavisky scandal. Andre Hesse, barrister, formerly Stavisky’s adviser, considered himself insulted and challenged Bainex. They met in a secluded spot and exchanged four shots, neither being touched.
