CLOSE OF SCHOOL YEAR. The fancy dress ball held in the Town Hall. Ohingaiti. on Wednesday evening to mark the close of the school year was attended by a la*ge number of children and parents. Their many beautiful and original dresses showed evidence of good and careful work by the parents. To the school s*aff, Mr. W. H. Scott and Miss E. L. Paterson, yrho were ably assisted by Mrs. R. J. Trevena. much credit is due for the splendid showing the children made in the marching and dancing. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves with dancing until 10 p.m., after which the adults had the floor until midnight During the evening, Polly Potaka, supported by little Queenie Heta, in a neat speech thanked Mrs. Trevena on behalf of the school children for the interest she had alway taken in the school functions and for her assistance on this occassion and asked her acceptance of a small token of affection of the children.
