INCREASE DURING YEAR. SIGNS OF TRADE REVIVAL. SYDNEY, Dec.’2l. The Water Board’s figures for building operations in 1933 show that 1806 buildings were completed in the metropolitan area at a co-st of £2,214,503, compared with 1433 buildings costing £1,881,500 in 1933. This, it is stated, was an indication that the building trade was showing definite signs of revival. The growth in the number of dwellings and flats particularly indicates that house accommodation in Sydney is becoming relatively scarce.
