APPLICATION IN PERSON ENVELOPE SYSTEM URGED [ Per Press Association. I CHRISTCHURCH, Dee. 20. The executive of the South Island Motor Union dettided to-night to request the Commissioner for Transport to adopt the English practice of issuing a license which can be renewed without the necessity for personal application. It was argued that there should be no need for a person below the age of 65 years to present himself in per son, and all the expense to the Department could be saved by insisting upon the applicant sending a stamped addressed envelope for reply.
