COMMISSIONER RESIGNS RECOGNITION OF SER\ ICE. TAURANGA, Dec. 15. After having served the Scout movement for six years in the capacity of district commissioner for the Bay of Plenty district, Mr. Fergus E. Boyd, of Westwood, Tauranga. has resigned the position. Mr. Boyd accomplished ex cellent work in advancing the interests of the movement and was successful in starting new groups at Taneatua, Wainiana, Katikati, Opotiki and Pongakarau. Mr. Boyd has received a letter from Colonel I’. Clennell Fenwick, Dominion Chief Commissioner of the Boy Scouts’ Association, Christchurch, expressing egret at his resignation and advising birr that he had been awarded the association’s honorary medal of merit.
