RESTORATION GRANTED “FEIENLY ROAD” SERVICES. AUCKLAND, Dec. 20. The restoration of the “Friendly Road’’ radio services conducted by the Rev. C. G. Scrimgcour (“Uncle Scrim”) and Air. T. T. Garland (“Uncle Tom”) has been permitted by the Government, advice to this effect having been received by the Rev. Scrimgcour from the Postmaster-Gene-ral. The services will be recommenced probably on New Yearr's eve from the B station IZB, which has been acquired by the “Friendly Road” organisation. Other programmes will also be broadcast by former IZR personalities.
