The Afghan Legation has announced that Abdul Kaliq and three others— Mahmood, Abdullah, and Ishaq—were tried at Kabul for the assassination of King Nadir Shar. Khaliq and Mahmood were sentenced to death after the police had prevented the infuriated crowd from lynching the prisoners. The crowd subsequently demanded the execution of all four. Kaliq and Mahmood have been executed.
