MALOJA’S SHIPMENT. I EULOGISED IN BRITAIN. Received Dee. 5, 11.20 p.m. . LONDON, Dec. a. Eulogising the Maloja’s chilled beef shipment as the most successful ever made, the Standard, in a leader, expresse sthe opinion that the experiment opens the prospect, of depending entirely on the dominions for meat nut produced in Britain. Jt. deplores that while the experiment was progressing Air. Runciman made a black pact with the Argentine, depriving Britain for three- years of the power of encouraging the development of the Empire’s resources. Obviously while the pact is operating there will be no room for Australian chilled meat. Meanwhile the Argentina concessions to Britain are illusory.
