LADY ASQUITH’S BOOK. Received Oct 1.“., 7.30 p.m, LONIDON, Oct. 13. Lady Cynthia Asquith, in her book “The Married Life of the Duchess of York,” mentions the wonderful com panionship and exploits of Princess Elizabeth and her grandfather, the King. She also records an American dressmaker’s regard for the Duchess as the prettiest Royal lady in Europe and says that the dressmaker sent represen tatives to study her drosses at important functions. Lady Asquith relates how the Queen stooped over the cot in which Princess Elizabeth lay once and said: “I wish you were more like your dear little mother.”
