SATURDAY’S PROGRAMME An earlier start than originally scheduled will be made by the Foxton Racing Club on Saturday owing to there beinsj eight races instead of seven. The first race is to be run at 11.45 a.m., the totalisator closing at 11.40 a.m. The order of the races is as follows: Poroutawhao Hurdles 11.45 Maiden Stakes (Ist Div.) . 12.30 Maiden Stakes (2nd Div) . 1.15 Robinson Handicap 2.0 Two-Year-Old Handicap 2.45 Carnarvon Hack Handicap 3.30. Kebbell Memorial Handicap 4.15

Herrington Hack Handicap 5.0 Receipt of an official “card” for the meeting from the secretary is acknow ledged. The card shows that there will be two divisions in the Carnarvon Hack Handicap if the number of starters

should exceed nineteen, but the totalisator in such event will open once only. The divisions would then be:—First Division: Chock Say, Gold Ruler, Cape Fair, Revision, Headmistress, Nebulae, Hawora, Quebec, En Vidette, Canefield, Second Division: Pegged Exchange, Kalmuck, King Thomond, Cullus, Colossical* Sir Romeo, Joy Stick, Tranquility, Pahiko, Transact. There are two totalisator “brackets” in the Foxton Two-Year-Old Handicap, as follows: —Bachelor’s Song and Contract, Golden Chance and Brown Betty.
