OBITUARY
REV. GEORGE LINDSAY [ Per Press Association, j CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 27. Tho death occurred this evening of tho Rev. George Lindsay, aged 87. a retired minister of the Presbyterian ChuPeh. He was minister at St. Paul’s (Invercargill) for 23 years until 1911, in which year he was Moderator of General Assembly. Afterwards ho was at. St. Clair for two years and Southbridge for five years. Tho death has occurred at Morrins- \ ille, of M r William Clement Cargill, managing-director of the Cargill Publishing Company, which publishes tho Morrinsvillo Star, Mntamata Record, and Putaruru Press. Deceased was formerly proprietor of the Wairampa Age, tho Patca Press, and the Pukekoho Times. From 1928 to 1930 ho was president of the New Zealand Master Printers’ Federation. Deceased was in his 63rd. year. Ho had many educational and sporting Rctivi ties. MR. ALFRED C. FISHER. Received Aug. 28. 1 a.m. LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27. Mr. Alfred C. Fisher, aged 84, veteran stage and scren actor, who began his career in England in 1869, died here on Saturday.
