ASSOCIATION CUP ATHLETIC BEAT MILLS. THISTLE WIN LEAGUE MATCH. In glorious weather on Saturday the Association Cup and the Inter-Associa-tion League competition wore advanced a further stage. Athletic with a weak enod team defeated Mills by the only goal of the game. They held the balance throughout and were worthy winners. In the other game Thistle beat Eastbrooke by the odd goal in seven. By their victory Thistle win the In-ter-Association League and also take tho lead in the local competition. This game was remarkable for the fact that Thistle, whose protest was responsible for the net being again used on No. 1 ground, should be the victims of a mistake caused by want of nets on No. 2 ground.
