Mr. T. B. Strong, Director of Education, is a guest at the Rutland Hotel. A motion was carried at yesterday’s , meeting of the Wanganui Harbour Board congratulating Mr A. G. The death occurred on Sunday of Mrs Annie Edith Campbell, of Westmere, aged 71, widow of the late Mr. William Patrick Campbell. Mrs. Campbell was a sister of the late Mr. Charles Powell, and had lived in the Westmere district for 17 years and. previous to that, in the Hunterville district for many years. She was noted for her kindly disposition and was always a cvilling helper in many ways in matters pertaining to the welfare of the residents of the comunity. She was also a keen supporter of the Anglican Church at Westmere. Her family consisted of eight daughters and one son, who was killed in the Great War.
