CAPTIVE BRITISH OFFICERS HELD BY CHINESE BANDITS | British Official Wirele.'>£. J Received July 13, 9.50 p.m. RUGBY, July 12. Questioned regarding the latest information concerning the three British officers who were kidnapped from the steamer Nanchang off the Manchukuo coast, Captain Anthony Eden, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, said he was informed that the Japanese authorities were taking steps against bandits generally in the district whore these officers were held captives. According to a. report yet to bo con tinned, two of the officers escaped on July 7. Efforts were being made to locate them and rescue the other captive.
