BOOT SUPPLY 9CHEMK AN EXTENSION SUGGESTED CLOTHES AND BEDDING [ Per Press Association. I HAWERA, May 17. That the Government be urged to consider the advisability of supplying the unemployed with cTothes and bedding, as is now being done with boots, was the text of a resolution passed at the annual meeting or th© Hawera I nemployment Committee, and is to be forwarded to the Minister of Employment. The committee also decided to again bring before the notice of the Unem ployment Board the scheme for the relief of unemployment advocated by Mr. A. H. Larkman, of Hawera, with n request t hat it be recorded full consideration. Mr. Larkman said that when he expounded the scheme it received the endorsement of a public mooting, and the Minister of Employment had advised him that it bad many practicable aspects. However, nothing had since been heard of H from official quarferi.
