There were also present Messrs. J. Moye, A. C. Danielson, F. E. Sinlta and C. T. Young. A deputation from the Wanganui Harriers’ Club waited on the meeting with reference to cooperating over tho start and finish of the New Zealand cross-ccuntry championship race, which is to bo decided in Wanganui on August 26. Messrs. C. R. White. A. J. Wcckes and W. L. Young asked that the race be allowed to start on, and finish at, Spriggens Park on that date. Aftei discussion the executive decided that the race could start from tl.j oval and finish with two circuits of the ground. A joint committee of th(3 Harrier Club and tnc Rugby Union is to meet on May 31 to go into details. The Rangitikei Union’s disqualification of J. N. Totty for four weeks was confirmed. An application from Rangitikci to have B. Johnston reinstated will be considered when the proper form has been completed. It was decided that the charges for representative matches be the same as lat year—ls at the gate and Is for tho stand. Mr. L. Southcombc was. appointed chairman of the union’s selection committee, which embraces a Tnihape and a Rangitikei selector. The Advertising Committee was deputed to wait on the Railways with a view to arranging special trains for June 3 to cope with tho traffic, travelling to the Taranaki v.
