ALLEGED THEFT

INCIDENT AT PALMERSTON [ Per Press Association. I PALMERSTON N., May 10. Arising out of the incident yester day, a youth named Frank Francis O ’Sullivan pleaded guilty at the Magistrate’s Court to stealing £5, the property of William Wiseman, senr. Detective Quirke said that accused wont to Wiseman’s shop to purchase goods, and asked for change of a £5 note. On the shopkeeper getting the necessary amount, the accused threw some pepper in Wiseman’s fare, and grabbed the notes as he was dashing away. Later he was arrested. Ho had boon convicted of theft in 1932. Tho magistrate remanded the accused till Friday for the probation officer’s report.
