EASTBOURNE AND PONEKE. Spectators at Athletic Park on Saturday afternoon witnessed one of the most exciting club matches that has been played on the ground, Eastbourne defeating Poneke, last year’s champions, by 23 points to 20 in the dying stages of a fast and exhilarating display. Fuller, who scored 20 of Eastbourne’s points against Poneke, scoring three tries, converting four, and kicking a penalty goal.
