FLOODS IN INDIA
A DISASTER FEARED WORKMEN SWEPT AWAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) Received May 7, 5.5 p.m. CALCUTTA. May 6. It is feared thaf, two hundred workmen engaged in the construction of a bridge over a river at Mojgondal, in one of the Kathiawar States, Western India, have been drowned. They were all swept off the bridge by sudden floods, people on the adjoining river banks being powerless to help as the mass of humanity disappeared in the swollen waters.
