NEW GOVERNORS IN SIX GERMAN STATES. HUGENBEBG MAY RESIGN. BERLIN, May 5. President Hindenburg has adopted Herr Hitler’s proposal to appoint six Nazi Governors in Wurtemburg, Emden, Saxony, Hesse, Bremen-Olden-burg, and Anhalt-Brunswick. The Nationalists have again been overlooked, and the progressive elimination of their influence indicates the early disappearance of Herr Hugenberg, who will probably be superseded by Herr Willikens, the Nazi President of the Land Union, as Minister of Agriculture. Nationalist newspapers prophesy Herr Hugenberg’s resignation and protest against his unfair supersession. The Nationalists’ misgivings arc deepened as the result of Herr Hitler’s statement that giant fortunes must disappear and the Silesian Governor’s declaration that big estates are doomed. Nevertheless the Government has decreed the cessation of rigorous interference with commerce, in order to allay nervousness' in business circles.
