MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED
FRACTURED THIGH AND WRIST COLLISION AT INTERSECTION. Severe injuries were suffered on Saturday night by Norman Heibner, a single man residing at Springvale, when a collision occurred between the motorcycle he was riding and a half-ton truck driven by Arthur Clarence Watson, a married man residing at Castlecbff. Heibner’s left thigh and left, forearm were fractured and he was taken to the Wanganui Public Hospital, where it was stated that his condition last night was satisfactory. The vehicles met in a head-on collision on the corner of Dublin and Pitt Streets at about 8 o’clock. The. truck was turned on its side and the motorcycle was badly smashed. It struck the truck between the radiator and n wheel smashed the springs and forced the wheel back. Watson was uninjured.
