A notice in the Gazette notifies the discharge of the special committee of management of the *Napier Borough. The committee, which consisted of Mr J. S. Barton, S.M , and Mr L. B. Campbel), of the Public Works Department, was appointed after the earthquake, but the control of the borough has now been resumed by a Mayor and council, elected last Wednesday.
