Kai Iwi Tennis Club Dance Novelty dances tor which good prizes will be given will be a feature of the dance to be held by the Kai Iwi Tennis Club in the Kai Iwi Hall to-morrow evening (May 9). The River City Syncopators’ Orchestra will provide the music and a good floor and good supper are promised. A bus will leave Martin and Vernon’s at 7.45 p.m.

Social Evening The Gonville Bowling Club held its usual weekly function in the Masonic Hall on Saturday. The 500 prizes were won by Mrs. Marchant and Mr. Shipman, consolations going to Miss Morrison and Mr. Morton. After supper a most enjoyable time was spent in old-time dancing, tho Monte Carlos prizes being won by Mrs. Marshall and Mr. Denman. It was announced that as the hall was now tree from other engagements, tho bowiers’ functions would bo held weekly without intermission for a conisderablc period. This would be welcome news to the many supporters of the club who enjoy these very popular evenings. Amongst those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Clienery, Mr. and Mrs. Hunwick, Mr. and Mrs. Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Woods, Mr. and Mrs. Rowntree, Mr. and Mrs. Fyfe, Mr. and Mrs, Shipman, Mr. and Mrs. Revell, Mr. and Mrs. Morton, Mr. and Mrs. Berryman, Mr. and Mrs. Christensen, Mesdames Cooper, Sievers, Guthrie, Winter, Bryan, Baker, Gibbs, McMillan, Junies, Marchant, Norris, Matthews, Chapman, Tinney, Marshall, Davis, Bayliss. Withers, Dowsott, White, Forbes, Hampton, Misses Morrison, O’Neale, Fisher, Winter, Messrs. Hartwell, Lee,' Hodges, Shenton, Morrison, Russell.
