MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING. The weekly practice shoot was held on Monday night. The attendance was good and the shooting was well up to average, and some good targets were put on by the younger members. The detailed scores were as follows: Ken Lumsden .. .. 70--69—139

ANZAC DAY SERVICE. There was a good attendance at the service held at the Public Hall on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. A. K. Drew apologised for the absence of Mr. H. J. Fagan, charman of the local committee, and asked the Rev. P. J. Cossum to take control of the service. Other members of the clergy who assisted were Rev. A. C. Lane and B. White, of Bulls, the latter giving a very inspiring address, taking for his text the word 1 1 Duty.” A combined choir under the control of Mr. A. K. Drew was of great assistance to the service. Mrs. N. E. Pearce presided at the piano. A collection was taken at the close of the service and the proceeds will be handed to the Feilding branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. After the service those present visited the memorial at the school and a handsome wreath was placed on the gate by Rev. P. J. Cossum, who gave a short, appropriate address. The wreath was kindly made by Mrs. Cossum for the committee.
