WEDDING

PEARCE—HAVILL. A wedding of much interest took place recently at the Ingestre Street Baptist Church, when Nellie, third laughter of Mr. G. F. Havill and the 'ate Mrs N. A sheaf of gladiolas, gerberos daisies and maidenhair fern was carried. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Della Haoll (sister of the bride) and Miss Lottie Doughty. They wore dainty frocks of blue georgette with long bodices and puffed sleeves and ankle-length gored skirts and shoes to match. Each wore large felt hats to tone, trimmed with pale pink ribbon and carried bouquets of belladonna lillics and maidenhair fern. Miss Helean Walker (niece of the bride) was flower-girl, wearing a pink satin ankle-length frock and floral head-band. She carried a basket of pink dahlias and maidenhair fern. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr. Ben. Pearce (Coalgate) and Mr. Ray Pawsey (Ashburton) was groomsman.

The reception was hold later, at the bride’s home; Gonville, where some 40 guests were received by Miss F. Havill who wore a charming frock of blue crepe-de-chine with coatee to match. She carried a bouquet of roses with lemon streamers.
