THE LONDON SALES Received Nov. 25, 7.10 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 27. At the wool sales 9010 bales were offered, including 2655 from New Zealand. About 6425 were sold. There was animated competition with some Continental prices fully maintained. New Zealand greasy crossbred “Strand” 9 l-8d; slipc half bred lamb", Canterbury, top, 12d, average 10$d; scoured combing, “Balmoral” 17£d and 17d. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., have received the following advice from their London office: Wool sales opened; larger attendance of buyers than usual. Competition animated; Contintental buyers chief operators. Selection good; small proportion New Zealand wools included. Greasy halfbred, 50/56’s, yielding 67 per cent., 9id; greasy three-quarterbred, 48/50’s, yielding 74 per cent., 7id; fine crossbred, 46/48’s, yielding 75 per cent., 6d; medium crossbred, 44/46’s, 76 per cent., s|d. Slipcd prices par to 5 per cent, lower. Australian Merino prices, par to 5 per cent, lower. Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd. have received a cable message from their London agents giving the following comparison between the opening rates of the present series of wool sales and the closing rates of the Scptember-Oc tobor series:—
