| MEAT FREEZING SEASON WILL LOAD BOATS TOO CANTERBURY ARRANGEMENTS [Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 14. The meat freezing season in Canterbury will open next wok, the companies concerned, having made arrangements to operate, even if the trouble is not settled with the Freezing Workers’ Federation. An organ’sat ion is being completed for carrying on tho works with free labour and also, if necessary, the loading of ships. Details of the organisation wore discussed to-day at a meeting at which the Canterbury A. and P. Association, Farmers’ Union, and Sheep Owners’ Federation were represented. The meeting was not open to the Press mid secrecy is being mainrained as to what occurred at it, but it is stated that the organisation for the supply of free labour is complete and that farmers and farmers’ sons will volunteer in sufficient numbers to en sure, the running of the works. The season is opening a few weeks earlier than usual and it is not expected that the full output will be reached for several weeks.
