HOMES FOR WORKERS
A NEW BRITISH SCHEME [ Briti»h Official Wireless.] Received Oct. 31, 5.5 p.m. RUGBY, Oct. 29. Proposals for using the resources of the building societies for furthering a State campaign for the provision of small working-class houses, were announced as a result of the deliberations of the Housing Committee of the National Association of Building Societies, under a scheme presented to the Health Minister. The State, local authorities and the societies will combine to guarantee 20 per cent, mortgage loans.
