COMFORT FOR TRAVELLERS

AT AUCKLAND RAILWAY STATION It has been observed by the officials of the Railway Department that numbers of people who arrive at Auckland early in the morning by the express from the south do not seem to be aware of the “creature comforts” available at the big station. An advertisement in this issue gives a reminder that the modern provision for the public includes bathrooms, hairdressing saloon, refreshment room, friut shop, and bookstall, which are controlled by the Railway Refreshment Branch. The department feels that if these facilities were more generally known to the travelling public they would bo availed of to a much greater extent.
