FOUND WITH BOMB
CHARGE AGAINST RUSSIAN I INTENT TO COMMIT CRIME. [Per Press Association, j AUCKLAND, July 29. Charged with being in possession of gelignite and bombs with intent to commit a crime, George bargiff, a Russian seaman, was found quilty in the Supreme Court to-night. The Crown Prosecutor said that when accused was arrested he had iu his possession a small improvised bomb. A. larger bomb was round in tin- room he was occupying. Accused had been interested in the manufacture of explosives, having studied books on the subject. The defence was that, there was no evidence that accused was going to do anything except blow up fish with the explosive. Accused, was found guilty on the counts of being in possession of gelignite and a bomb with intent to comnut a crime. He was remanded for sentence.
