Charged with conducting their business in a manner which brought them within the provisions of the Bankruptcy Act, William Edmund Recsby and Thomas Chartes Reesby, formerly butchers at New Plymouth, were committed for trial to-day by Mr R. W. Tate, S.M. They pleaded not guilty to eight charges that on various dates they con- j tracted debts with individuals and firms without at .he time having a reasonable or probable expectation of being able to pay tht»se as well as other debts. 1 hoy were also charged with failing during the three years prior to their bankruptcy to keep proper books.
