MORTENSIN—JACOBSEN,

A very pretty wedding took place at the Methodist Church, Taumarunui, on the evening of July 2, when Minnie Kathleen, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacobsen, of Owhango, was married to Just Emil, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Mortensin, of Pio Pio. The Rev. B. R. Harris officiated and Miss Hore played the wedding music.

Tho bride entered the church with her father. Her* dainty frock of ivory satin beaute was fashioned with long close-fitting sleeves and bodice moulded to the figure to the hip line, while the fully flared skirt drooping on soft folds to the ground. She wore a long tulle veil an'd carried a shower bouquet of white roses, carnations, and maidenhair fern. In attendance were two bridesmaids, Miss Eileen Chield (Tlukapapa) and Miss Hazel Webby (Wanganui), and little Josie Gatchoil as flower girl. All three wore ankle-length frocks of jade green chiffon velvet trimmed with white fur. Their felt hats to match were smartly trimmed with white feathers, and they carried bouquets of white flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. .T. H. McDowell (Pio Pio) as best man, and Mr. W. Mark (Hukapapa) as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Foresters’ Hall, where Mr. and Mrs. Jacobsen received a large number of guests, the latter wearing m. frock of black satin and carrying a bouquet of violets and red cyclamen. Later the happy couple left by the south-bound express amidst showers of confetti and good wishes, the bride travelling in a royal blue ensemble with hat and shoes to match Victoria League.
