FRUIT INDUSTRY
MR. H. TURNER ABROAD A letter received during the past week from Mr. H. Turner, London representative of the New Zealand Fruit Control Board, boro the postmark, “Rotterdam,” and contained an interesting opinion with regard to the popularity of New Zealand fruit on the Continent.
Mr. Turner stated that he had just concluded visits to France, Germany and Switzerland, and was at the time of writing returning to London. He had found that the trade on the country looked very promising, particularly in Germany, where there was a marked demand for New Zealand apples. The quality of shipments, to date had undoubtedly impressed the Germans, and he was confident that as soon as better conditions could be brought about on the Continent excellent markets could be built up and developed in nearly all the large centres of Germany.
