ORDER OF FORESTERS
COURT RHODERICK DHU, NO. 4926. The usual fortnightly meeting of the above lodge was held in the Victoria League Rooms. St. Hill Street, on Tuesday evening last, when C.B. Bro. C. presided over a good attendance ~ of members. The officers present were: XJ.R. Bro. C. Mann; I.P.C.R. Bro. E. Christmas; S.C.R. Bro. N. Reid; b.W. Bro. E. Thiele; J.W. Bro. R. Kilpatrick (acting); S.B. Bro. R. A. Price; J.B. Bro. R. Loader; Sec. Bro. 8. R. McCallum; Treas. Bro. W. Price; sick pay officer Bro. L. Price. After the opening hymn had been song, C.R. Bro. Mann opened the lodge, and the minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The sick pay officer, Bro. L. Price, reported on the sick at present upon the funds, and the sick pay was passed for payment. The secretary read the correspondence which was received. The balance-sheet for the quarter ended June 30 last was presented by the secretary, Bro. McCallum, and was received and adopted. Bro. W. Price reported that under the motion passed by the United Friendly Societies’ Council at its last meeting, the Court was required to elect a further two delegates to the Council. After discussion, the Court decided to leave the matter in the handg of the present delegates, with power to elect a further two delegates. 1 C.R. Bro. Maun then presented Bros. *’MeCallum, Kilpatrick, and Barford, with their P.C.R. neck ribbons, and congratulated these brothers. One new candidate was nominated for initiation into the Court and Order. As this concluded the business ot the evening, the closing hymn was sung, and C.R. Bro. Mann formally closed the Court. A number of members enjoyed a game of bowls after the meeting, when Bro. Reid’s team were successful against a team skipped by Bro. E. Barrow.
