POISONED MEAT
BROTHER AND SISTER ILL I Per Preus Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, July 27. Charles and Mary Topp, brother and sister, of Medbury, near Hawarden, have recently been suffering from the effects of poison. An analysis of the meat eaten at a meal showed that it contained powdered strychnine, believed to have been rubbed in while the meat was in the dairy outside by persons unknown. The police are investigating. Four dogs that ate the meat died. *
