W C- Gohns reported that a letter had been received from the Commissi r *or of Unemployment, stating thfit during the coming season the • ondit^ on that relief workers were only •riven ’work under relief works so long as e"’ey cultivated an area of ground for the purpose of raising vegetables, wns to be rigidly enforced. The cultivation was to be carried out entirely i n the relief worker's own time. Thlii ( ondition of employment was in for< last season.
