MAGISTRATE’S COURT. Mr. K. M. Watson, S.M., presided over a short sitting of the Court in Bulls on Saturday, when the following cases wore heard: — Civil Cases. Judgment was given for plaintiffs as follows:—Nicol Bros. v. E. R. Harns, £6 15s 4d (costs £1 13s Gd); Hili Bros, v. J. W. Nixon, £l4 15s Gd (costs £2 17s). Under a judgment summons, H. R. Wilton was ordered to pay to D. G. Howard the sum of £1 12s, in default three days’ imprisonment; warrant to be suspended until July 1, 1932. Motor Breaches. On the information of Inspector H. J. Fowler (Rangitikei County Council and Bulls Town Board), J. B. O’Neill was charged with exceeding the speed limit of 15 miles per hour across the intersection of Bridge and High Streets, and was convicted and fined £1 10s, with costs 12s. L. H. Steele, for a similar offence, was convicted and dealt with similarly. R. Kcat. for riding a motor-cycle without a light was fined 15s, with costs 12s.

SCHOOL EUCHRE PARTY. In spite of the rought weather and counter attractions, there was a very good attendance at the dance and euchre party held in the Town Hall on Friday evening, many patrons coming from Parewanui, Marton and Oha kea. Prize-winners at cards were Airs. Woods (Alarton), and Al aster Desmond Ellery (Ohakea). Bright music was provided for the dance, and a very satisfying supper was handed round. It is pleasing to state that the Bulls school funds will benefit by the function. THE FOOTBALLERS’ BALL. Preparations are now well in hand for the Bulls Football Club’s ball, which will be held in tho Town Hall on Wednesday night. The ladies and gentlemen on various committees arc working well, and the best of music has been arranged for. Ikmccrs from all parts of the district are expected, for this function is the most popular of the season—“ The Ball With a Kick in it.’’
