APPLICATIONS DEALT WITH ( Per Frees Association.] WELLINGTON, June 17. At the Local Government Loans Board 22 applications for loans totalling £871,388 were dealt with. Loans amounting to £811,166 were sane tioned, including £790,300 renewals. £lO,OOO new loans, and £10,866 loans for the restoration of earthquake damage, and £623, unexpended balance of previous loans, was authorised to be used for other purposes. The bal ‘ ance, £60,222, were either declined o’referred back to the local authority concerned for further consideration.
