KIDNAPPING ECHO
LINDBERGH BABY CASE INVESTIGATOR FOUND GUILTY (New York Tinies Press Broadcast) WASHINGTON, June 13. Gaston B. Means, former special investigator of the Department of Justice, was found guilty to-night by a jury on two charges of laccny growing out of receipt of 140,000 dollars from Mrs. Evalyn McLean, local society woman, in connection with the Lindbergh baby kidnapping case. The verdicts carry a penalty of ten years in prison. Means was remanded to gaol with out bond pending action on his ap peal. He was in the courtroom, but made no statement when the verdict was returned. VIOLET SHARPE’S DEATH WAS A MARRIED WOMAN NEW YORK, June. 14. A message from Englewood (New Jersey) states that the death certifi cate of Violet Sharpe was filed on Tuesday stating that she was marriedThe name of her husband is unknown. It was the first intimation that the girl was married.
