PALMERSTON NORTH FIXTURE EXHIBITION OPENS TO-DAY After lengthy and exhaustive arrangements to make the Manawatu and West Coast A and P. Association’s Winter Show one of the best for some years the exhibition will be opened this morning at 9 a.m. Judging in most of the competitive classes commences this morning. Following is the programme:— 9 a.m. —Judging of clascss. 9 a.m.—Sheep dog trial commences in Oval. 9 a.m.—Exhibition of machinery, motors, etc. 9 a.m.—Manawatu Art Society’s Exhibition. 9.30 a-m.—N.Z. Dairy Factory Managers’ Association grading competition and conference. 9.30 a.m.—Southdown Sheep Society of New Zealand, annual meeting. 10 a.m.—Wool demonstration, under auspices of Massey College. 11 a.m.—Short lecturo on wool research at Massey College stand. 11 a.m. —Annual meeting New Zealand Red Poll Cattle Breeders’ Association. 11-30 a.m.—N.Z. Factory Managers’ executive. 1 p.m. —Dog trial exhibition. 2 p.m.—N.Z. Hereford Cattle Breeders’ Association Council meeting. 2.30 p.m.—Rugby: Palmerston North High School v. Te Aute College, for Moascar Cup. 3 p.m-—Annual meeting New Zealand Factory Managers’ Association. 3.30 p<i. —N.Z. Hereford ' Cattle Breeders’ Association annual meeting. 7 p.m.—North Island Black Minorca Club, annual meeting. ,7.30 p.m.—N.Z. Factory Managers’ Association annual meeting (continued).

7.30 p.m.—Tug-o’-war tourney commences in stadium. 8 p.m.—North Island Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association annual meeting. 8 p.m.—Conference North Island A. and P. Secretaries. 10.30 p.m.—Show closes. Moascar Cup Match. Th? first Rugby fifteens of Te Aute College and tho Palmerston, North Boys’ High School will meet in their customary Show fixture to-day, when the Moascar Cup will bo at stake. Rugby enthusiasts always look forward to this game, for it has been productive of a high standard of play, with the opposing side about equally balanced. To Ante, the holders of the trophy, have a big record behind them, and the task confronting the local bovs of wresting possession does not appear to be an easy one by any moans, for the challengers have not done very well in tho inter-club competitions conducted bv the Manawatu Bugby District Council.
