DISPUTE SETTLED
AUCKLAND THEATRE UNION WAGES NOT REDUCED FIRST CASE UNDER NEW ACT [ Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 20. The first dispute in Auckland under the amended Arbitration Act was heard by the Conciliation Council to-day. The parties were the picture theatre proprietors and the Picture Theatre Projectionists’ Union. Commissioner Hally presided. The dispute was filed early in April but proceedings were delayed pending the passing of the new legislation. A complete agreement covering practically the whole of the terms nd conditions of the old award was reached without difficulty. Wages remain unchanged and th?re is no change in the conditions of employment.
