The conference of the Auckland Pro* vincial Farmers’ Union to-day adopted a motion that branches of the Union be requested to form “farmers’ protection committees.” The objects will be t» coordinate tho interests of the farmers inside and outside the Union, to advise and assist farmers in difficulties under a seal of confidence, and to resist by al] possible constitutiof.ul means any unjust treatment of farmers who are in difficulties owing to the economic conditions.
