Protest against tho Government’s appropriation of £500,000 from the petrol tax and against the monopoly of petrol supplies were made at tho Dorn inion executive meeting of the Farm i era’ Union, and the following remit » was carried: “That all funds collected I by way of benzine tax should be util isod for the purpose of reading and a reduction of rates and not fur any other purpose.”
