CHARGE OF ARSON
AUSTRIAN BEFORE COURT. [ Per Press Association. ) THAMES, Feb. 17. A charge or arson was laid against an Austrian named Joseph Ivankovich, alias Joe Ivan, a farmer of Pipiroa, Hauraki Plains, this morning. The police described the case as a serious one, and requested substantial bail, which was granted, totalling £6OO. The circumstances refer to the total destruction of a house at Pipiroa on the evening of December 29. Bail was forthcoming.
