HOSPITAL SYSTEM CHANGE
DR. BEGG’S SCHEME. TURNED DOWN FLATLY. No support is coming from the Wanganui Hospital Board for the proposed change in hospital system advocated by thc Wellington Board. It would be signing their own death warrant and throwing away their birthright. The chairman, Air. W. E. Broderick, moved that thc board should not agree with the suggestions which would have to be considered at such short notice. Mr. R. Farley seconded the motion. He was of the same mind as the chairmam. One member said that the personnel of the board of hospitals proposed by Dr. Begg had on its two direct representatives of the British Medical Association. That would be disastrous as far as the country were concerned. It was suggested that the matter was one for full investigation by the Hospital Association. Another member said that the motion might bo left that the board did not agree, and any reference to the shortness of time might be cut Gut. The amended motion was carried unanimously. .
