TOUR THROUGH DOMINION. VISIT OF MR. A. C. DAVIDSON. The general manager of the Bank of New South Wales, Air. A. C. Davidson, arrived on Monday at Auckland from Sydney on a business visit to the Dominion, which will embrace an inspection of the bank’s branches in the principal centres. Davidson said he was anxious to investigate at first Land financial and economic conditions in the Dominion and obtain the views of business men concerning the country’s outlook. As the bank had been represented in Now Zealand for over 70 years and its policy had always been to maintain considerable sums invested in the Dominion, it had every reason to be vitally concerned in the country’s weL faro and prosperity. The Bank of New South Wales is the oldest and largest bank in Australia and New Zealand, and since its amalgamation with the Australian Bank of Commerce, Ltd , the total deposits exceed £84,000,000.
